The second season of “Wild Thing” is almost here—arriving on Earth, September 17! Introducing “Wild Thing: Space Invaders,” about the ongoing search for extraterrestrial life.

We are proud to have been able to contribute toward the sponsoring of this season—plus one of our co-directors, Dr. Jorge Perez-Gallego, got to chat with outstanding host Laura Krantz about the whole thing a few episodes in.

You can now find an audio trailer here, and a written teaser below.

Think there’s aliens out there? You’re not alone. Stories of UFOs and alien encounters abound—and some (like the recent accounts from U.S. Navy pilots) are even believable. Now, armed with state-of-the-art technology, the search for extraterrestrials (one-celled and big-brained) overflows with exciting possibilities.

For the second season of Wild Thing, we’re going to turn our gaze skyward. What’s the likelihood of life on other planets? Or that aliens have already made the trip to visit us? How would they get here? Why do we want to find them? And what does it mean if we don’t? We’ll examine the science, culture and philosophy of a universe where we’re not alone—and why the idea of alien life has abducted our imaginations.

And, while you wait, if you have not already, you can always check out season one, “Wild Thing: Sasquatch, Science & Society,” in which Laura journeys into the world of Bigfoot, introducing us to the true believers and the I-want-to-believers, while seeking to explore why this creature ignites our imaginations, where that fascination comes from, and why it persists.
